My "back porch" is my kitchen, my favorite room in the house. Come on in, the coffee is fresh, and I just made a pitcher of sweet tea. The cookies will be out in a minute. I have over 40 years of recipes to share with you, along with my opinion on everything. Oh my, you are right, it is cocktail time. What can I get you? Of course I can make you a Mint Julep! Stop by anytime, something is always cooking, and the back door is never locked.

Saint and Scriptures Sunday - Seven Things God Hates

I love Proverbs, I don't go there often enough.

Proverbs 6:16-19

Here are six things God hates, and one more that he loathes with a passion:

eyes that are arrogant,
a tongue that lies,
hands that murder the innocent,
a heart that hatches evil plots,
feet that race down a wicked track,
a mouth that lies under oath,
a troublemaker in the family.

Let us all beware of our thoughts and actions.

    I've never seen this verse written in this style, but I like it -- even though some of it makes me cringe, thinking of myself. (arrogance)
